1st March 2026 marks one hundred years since the commencement of Sydney suburban electric train services, the opening gambit in JJC Bradfield's grand plan for Sydney rail transport. The Harbour Bridge was still six years away from opening. Based on a number of images from NSW State Records, this painting features the ubiquitous "Red Rattler" approaching Milson's Point station from the bridge in 1952.
