I seem to inadvertently started a series of paintings entitled "Ferries of the World". This latest commission features New York City's Staten Island Ferry "John F. Kennedy" which joins the recent Hong Kong Star ferry and a host of Sydney ferry paintings. An appropriate subject to be painting on the 25th anniversary of 9/11, a ferry in service with the New York Port Authority on that day and a vessel I might even have travelled on when I made my one and only visit to Staten Island some years before that.
