During the visit to Longreach, Queensland in September 2006, an opportunity presented itself for a visit to the Griffdale property between Ilfracombe and Barcaldine. Longreach shearing contractor, Bill Dicinoski, had a team busy in the shed and for the visiting city-dwellers it was a chance to see first hand the process that was for so many years the backbone of the Australian rural economy - a backbone created on back-breaking work.
