"Emmylou" on the Murray

This painting features the PS Emmylou, a wood-fired paddle steamer operating out of Echuca on the Murray River. Though built as recently as 1980, she is a tribute to the nineteenth century paddle steamers that plied the Murray and Darling carrying wool to the railhead at Echuca.
