The long anticipated second airport for Sydney, Western Sydney International will open towards the end of 2026. Unlike the Sydney's Kingsford Smith this will be a 24 hour airport with no curfew. Singapore Airlines and Air New Zealand will be among the first overseas carriers to use the airport alongside the three Australian operators, Qantas, Jetstar and Virgin Australia.
